http://www.yanowhatimean.com/tuesday/ Although I’ve gotten much more adventurous as a grownup, it is still the case that I am a relatively picky eater. So this week’s challenge, listing out my top 10 most-hated foods, wasn’t all that hard. I challenged myself to try to NOT have the entire list be comprised of vegetables!

1. Tomatoes – I eat ketchup, tomato sauce, and even sun-dried tomatoes, but somehow fresh tomatoes just turn my stomach!
2. Brussel Sprouts – seriously, does ANYONE like these?!!
3. Sauerkraut – can’t get past the smell
4. Cottage cheese – possibly the only type of cheese I can’t stand
5. Catfish – scum-sucking bottom-dwellers just don’t do it for me somehow!
6. Pickled ANYTHING – why would you do that to food?!! WHY?!!
7. Mayonnaise – technically not a food, I realize, but VERY disgusting to me
8. Raw oysters – the texture, the smell, I don’t even get to the actual TASTE of them
9. Cucumbers & Celery – they just don’t taste like anything at all, I don’t get the point
10. Cooked spinach – love raw, but the cooked stuff…gag! It’s a texture thing.

Testing…trying import into WordPress

Well, I have successfully switched over to WordPress for our blog! This is my very first post under the new system. This still feels pretty weird to me format-wise, but I am sure it’ll get easier as time goes on. Although the much-lauded “5 Minute installation” was definitely NOT the case with me, I think it had more to do with my web host than with WordPress.

I love Blogger, don’t get me wrong, and had been using it since it first came out – we were bloggers when blogging wasn’t cool! %-) But I was looking for something with more flexibility – customization options, something that would be a little less like “just another blog” that looks the same as everyone else’s, something in particular with more options for audio files. I looked at LiveJournal and the other Six Apart blogging packages, but in the end settled on this since WordPress seems to be the most powerful of the current crop, I can run it on my own server, and I philosophically am inclined toward open source packages.

So, here we are! Now to start tweaking…

Wow! I don’t know what else to say. While I don’t think I would give over a whole room of my house to a Mac shrine, I have to say this is pretty cool. The best part? The bar built out of Mac Classics!
