1. You are allowed – even encouraged, and sometimes even *required* – to sleep 12 hours a day.
2. You get a whole new wardrobe every single season.
3. You get to have fantabulous birthday parties with a theme of your chosing *every* year!!!
4. It’s okay (or at least understandable) to lay down in the floor and just throw a fit when you feel like it.
5. One word: BUBBLES
6. It’s okay to talk to yourself – even when your self responds!
7. You don’t have to have a job.
8. You get to try gymnastics, soccer, music lessons, art – pretty much anything you can sucker your parents into! ![]()
9. You don’t have the weird hangups of adults
10. You still have the tendency to forgive and forget rather than hold a grudge.

This week’s challenge is to think about how things would be if I DIDN’T feel the need to do everything perfectly. How great for me! As a perfectionist, I often have FANTASTIC plans – that I never follow through on because perfection takes time!
Here’s Tanika’s challenge this week:
Try this: The artist soul thrives on adventure.
Many adventures require that we muster the courage to be a beginner. That bicycle trip to France requires that I haul out my bike and start riding. That black-and-white photography course says “Get out the camera; shoot a few rolls.” Yoga for beginners requires that i stretch myself physically and mentally. Attendance at an open mic invites me to bring a poem. Life is filled with adventure if we are openhearted. [LOVE THAT!]
List five things you would love to do, if you didn’t have to do them perfectly.
Here’s my off-the-top-of-my-head list:
1. If I didn’t have to do it perfectly, I’d try playing the cello.
2. If I didn’t have to do it perfectly, I’d try making homemade bread.
3. If I didn’t have to do it perfectly, I’d try singing.
4. If I didn’t have to do it perfectly, I’d try sewing.
5. If I didn’t have to do it perfectly, I’d try sailing.
