I love Tenika’s list of adjectives for this challenge on wackiness: things about us that are abnormal, bizarre, crazy, curious, far out, flaky, fly ball, freakish, funky, funny, geeky, kooky, nutty, odd, oddball, off-center, offbeat, outlandish, peculiar, strange, uncommon, unconventional, unusual, way out, weird, AND whacky..WHEW!
Unfortunately, I’m not all that bizarre – or at least, I’m not that creative about my bizarreness. So, here are, to the best of my ability, 10 “Weird Facts About Leslie”:
1. THREE of my ex-boyfriends are multi-millionaires (actually, I think one is a billionaire). No lie!
2. I grew up with a different last name than I have now, but I didn’t change my name when I got married. (My stepdad adopted me when I turned 18; long story).
3. I absolutely LOVE roller coasters, scramblers, pretty much anything that goes FAST and/or spins you are … BUT ferris wheels TERRIFY me!
4. I’m afraid of hospitals. Truly – they give me the creeps. I practically break out in hives every time I have to go in one – which, mercifully is not that often!
5. Before I started dating my husband, I was friends with his ex-wife.
6. I like ketchup & tomato sauce … but hate actual tomatoes.
7. I’m more electronics/gadget-oriented than most guys are.
8. I’m totally addicted to lists like this!
9. I’m not a nurse, but right now my primary appointment is at a nursing school.
10. I’m an obsessive planner AND a horrible procrastinator (not the best mix, really – makes me chronically anxious! %-)
(Craig says I should say it’s weird that I married him! I don’t think so… %-)

I’m not sure I have 10 scrapbook mantras!
I guess the thing I most WISH was my one true scrapbook mantra would be Stacy Julian’s “I’m so far ahead”. I WANT to believe that so much! I mean, it really is the case that every page I make is a memory preserved for my family that wouldn’t exist if I didn’t make that page. BUT, somehow I still can’t stop feeling “behind”!
I guess my only other mantra-like thing is … “Just do it!”. I am really trying to work on not collecting more supplies, and instead focus on actually getting pages done!
Sorry, it’s not 10, I know. I guess I’m just not a mantra kind of girl. I do have a non-scrapbook-related mantra right now, though – “Come Home”! Craig has been at a conference in Portugal for almost a week, and I’ve very ready for him to be back!

Elementary School:
1. Getting called to the principal’s office on the same day Dayna was born (I committed the horrible sin of crossing the street BEHIND the school bus rather than in front of it. Truly! %-)
2. Throwing up on my desk in 3rd grade
3. Standing in the corner on the very first day of school (too much talking)
Junior High:
1. My first “real” kiss, with Brett Nelson
2. My 1st concert – Genesis
3. My best friend Cassie moving
4. My beloved grandfather, Sam, dying
5. Deciding I was going to be the 1st woman President
High School:
1. Friendships – especially Scott, Leila & Nancy
2. Getting accepted to college – and winning a scholarship so I could actually go!
3. Winning 1st place in public speaking at the state championship
4. My 1st trip to Europe – AWESOME!!!
5. Spring Break senior year
6. The night before graduation (long story), and then having to speak at graduation the next day…
7. Magnet School, especially our trip to NYC
College:
1. Friendships – Wayne, Scott, Todd, Jen, Tam, Diane
2. Realizing I was, most decidedly, NOT a Republican
3. My 1st date with David – at the time, magical; in retrospect, kind of creepy! %-)
